lunch near Mendenhall Glacier

Hi, Can anyone recommend a lunch place near Mendenhall Glacier? Prefer within walking distance. Thank you

From my recollection, nothing.

 

You might want to eat in Juneau prior to heading out.

Mendenhall is outside of town - about a 15 minute drive - and there is nothing close where you can eat. Would suggest waiting until after you return to town before trying to find somewhere to stop.

Food attracts bears. I don't think that it's an official ban, just a posted recommendation.

The closest place to eat is at the Mendenhall Mall area, which is about 3 or 4 miles from the glacier. If you have a car, it is a quick drive. If you want to take the city bus, it is about a mile to the nearest bus stop plus time to wait for the bus, then you have to figure out how to get back from the city from there. Walking...it is a long walk :)

 

As someone else mentioned, food is discouraged in the vicinity of the glacier. I'd also recommend getting something to eat downtown near the ship.
