E1, E2 or D3 on Independence?

Recommended Posts

I have booked a D3 (8352) on Indy for Oct 18th 2015 but have been looking at some other rooms and was wondering if there may be something better out there. The other options I'm considering are E2s (there are a bunch available) and E1s 8742 and 8412 (I think these are aft?). From what I understand the D3 is a bigger room with a slightly smaller balcony than the E1s and E2s. I am new to cruising so I'm not sure which would be a better option. Any insight into which rooms would have loungers on the balcony or any special features would be great.

It would be so helpful if RC had more info about the individual categories on their site

None of these unless they are an aft cabin would have a lounger on them and even with an aft it may not have a lounger. The D cabin will have a sofa and the E's will have a love seat.

Added. 8412 and 8712 are the 2 act balconies. We had a D1 aft on the Liberty and it did not have loungers. Definitely a bigger balcony though.

Whoops, I meant 8712 not 8742 for the aft balcony and the E2s I'm looking at are humps (I think).
