That worked for removing the cruise quote box, you the man pablo222.

 

But the white space remains. Imagine if your television looked like that.

 

I can see the table element that is the white space.

325 x 2988 pixels for your enjoyment.

 

I can block it in the page source, and the messages return to their

full width. I have to noodle on an easy way to do this on page loads.

I don't want people to get the wrong idea. I love cruisecritic and have had many hours of enjoyment reading and writing posts, researching things for my next cruise, participating in roll calls, and even attending CC meet & greets on ship. This ad bar thing is just a plain in your face lessening of that enjoyment and I believe that the only way to change something is to speak up and complain. I'm not one of those to just suck it up and eat my spinach. Thanks to all the folks with technical suggestions for removing ad bar. I'm done with this topic and am moving on. Happy cruising everybody! ;)
