My Time Dining

We usually travel as 3 and request a 4 top at dinner. For our next cruise, there may be just 2 of us. My question is, can you sit at your own table with just 2 when you request My Time Dining as we prefer not to sit with others.

Thanks!

Yes you can and although there are some table for 2's close to other tables, there are also lots that are not.

It depends on the ship. On some, some of the prime tables are for 2. We have had some by the window, some by the railing ( most times, YTD is on the upper level of the MDR but again not on all ships) and others that are close to other tables.

Even if your table is close to others, having a table for 2, you set the pace of your meal and are independent from others at the same table. You and the guests sitting close can decide if you wish to engage in conversation or have your own conversation just for 2. A table for 2 is the best of 2 worlds....lol.:)

Having our own table for 2 is the main reason we use Your Time Dining!! It will be just fine. There are tables close to others and some that are not so close.

You will be just fine!

You can also request a table for 2 in the assigned dining.

We have always been able to get a table for two. Although, on one Carnival ship the tables for two were only a foot away the next row of tables. It was hard to have a private discussion that night.

We have had tables for 2 by the railing and tables for 2 closer to other tables. Interestingly, we never asked for a table for 2. Our last table for 2 had us close enough to a table for eight. They felt sorry for us sitting alone and included us in some conversation every night. They called us the kids ( they were not that much older than us) and we told them we were in time out! Had so much fun with them. Think of them often and hope they are all doing well. Last cruise we were assigned a table for 12. Another great group of dinner mates.

You certainly can have a table for two in My Time Dining for dinner if you wish.

We say that we are fine with sharing ... but are often given a table for two anyway. It's almost like sharing because the tables are so very close together. :D

As another poster mentioned, you can also have a table for two for breakfast and lunch ... just firmly request it when you enter.
