Got my hopes up and a big fat NOTHING. :( I fully admit I am jealous, green eyed monster, whatever. I don't think I deserve a free cruise more than anyone else but I REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY want one. :(:( Oh well, I can go back to dreaming I guess. Congrats to all who got offers.

This is why loyal Carnival cruisers are not happy with the free cruises . Seriously a free cruise every year !

I dont know why or when, but my mom was also offered the same last year and this one this year. She is going to Australia for 3 weeks in August, so she can not do this years offer. I check our VIFP numbers quite often for offers (and my 3 kids numbers too, just in case).

This is my 7th cruise total--this one and last summer being under the "free" offer. I live in Wisconsin--I would cruise a whole lot more if I lived where a port was within driving distance. I know this current offer is usable for 2x this summer, but I can only afford the airfare for one.

I never get an email, snail mail or call about the offers, just check in the VIFP section on carnival. Both times I saw them, I called immediately and jumped on the best cruise for the longest time (both 8 days).

I hope those who did not get them will get them soon.

And to the person who asked at the guest services--I dont think guest services would have a clue as to how much anyone pays--there are obviously many many free cruises out there for various people and occasions, so they were definately incorrect. I know this from my own experience--last years cruise I only paid port taxes for 2 people (an 8 day on the splendor for $248 total)--this year it is a base of $50 per person (with 100 obc to make it "free") and port taxes. I upgraded to a balcony for $80 each for my daughter and I .

I don't understand Carnival giving out all these free cruises. Congratulations to those that get them. I never go into the casino, so if that's the only business they value there will never be an offer for me. But my sister practically lives in there. Nothing ever for her either. Oh well.

I spent lots of time in the Casino on my last cruise..especially the last day. I was solo. Wanted to spend it by the pool... but the pools were full of kids... no room really... so I was in Casino for hours. I do have a 100 casino cash coming... didn't get an email telling me about it, but I called to check to see if I rated for any comps. I wouldn't have know if I hadn't called. I was told I am eligible for a free cabin... maybe next time. I don't know why not... he said it is based on time spent, money spent, not only in the casino , but onboard spending as well. And sometimes based on Land based casino visits.

I told my husband about people getting these offers an he didn't believe it to be true. So we were on the Legend 2 weeks ago and he decides to go to Guest Services and ask if they are really doing this and guess what.., they denied it. Said no one gets a free cruise (or port taxes only) offer. They said the only thing they offer is $200 discount after so many cruises. I can't figure out why they would deny that Carnival is making these offers since I am sure there wouldn't be this many people on Cruise Critic talking about it. I guess they don't want to hear the complaints from some of us not getting them, lol!

What 200 dollar discount? I have been on 26 cruises and have not been offered that???

So the "new" offers aren't FREE they are $100. The offers back in February were FREE, no $100 upsell to convert to OBC. It would be nice if you could use the $100 OBC for tips, can you do that? If not, then clearly these are $100 cabins, not FREE.

We are taking our FREE cruise next week from receiving the letter back in February.

Has anyone taken the free cruise yet from February's offer and receive credit for it under their VIFP? I'm curious if Carnival is recognizing these cruises with points.

The only offer we have is up to $600 off Fun Select rates with a $50 deposit. But, when I look at the options, I certainly cannot see where the up to $600 is coming off. I did a mock booking and the rates are almost $600 for a balcony for a 5 day on the Sunshine going to Key West, Nassau & Freeport (leaving in October 2014). Where exactly is the savings? The balcony is $589. That seems like regular price. Am I missing something here?

Sure wish we had the free offer. I keep checking VIFP's for all of us and nothing so far.

Thank you!! I just checked and DH and I both have the offers again. Unfortunaly carnival's site won't load so, I don't know what is available.

Carnival's site won't load for me, either! I've tried Firefox and Internet Explorer. Any suggestions? I want to see what's available!

Well, they are "free" you pay $50 per person for an inside-then you get a $100 OBC for the cruise--so its free. Yes, you can use the OBC for tips--same as any other OBC. Yes you do get the VIFP days--I took an 8 day free cruise last summer on the splendor--the days are counted in my points.

Just look for summer cruises under you VIFP number, the "free" ones will come up--they will say $50.00 for an inside--you can upgrade for $50-$80 each for an oceanview or a balcony. Its all in the mock booking.

I paid $0 for my inside on the Splendor back in February.

Thanks for the info about having the points counted! :)

I also had trouble with offers loading, try to load, than go to plan a cruise, it will take you to the normal page to look for a cruise. In your search do June2014-Aug 2014,when the search comes up it is all the casino cruises, starting @ 50.00 and up. As long as you are logged in it should work.

These cruises are not really free, We just paid $120 to upgrade to a balcony +tax and port charges for July 13 on the Pride. Total is $464 for 2 people 7 day, Insurance $54. Then Tips for 7 days. Still a very good price but not free. I have 2 more i'm in a fight with Carnival that have $1000 casino cash with them. I had to send a copy that shows the code to them today , nothing back yet.

My PVP called me earlier today as well to let me know about a free cruise offer - $100 for the inside cabin (I actually got into a Porthole Cabin) plus $88 taxes. Then I'll get $100 OBC on top of it (to offset the cruise price and make it "free"). No solo supplement. I booked the 4-night Inspiration for August since I'll be relocated to Phoenix by that time and the Port of Long Beach will be drivable. I asked if I added a 2nd person to the cabin how much it would cost and she told me just the $88 in taxes. So I may do that.

After a bunch of you asked if it was in your VIFP offers I checked mine and, of the 3 offers listed (two are casino, one is not), I don't see any offers that match what she sold me. So, I'm not sure what kind of offer this is, as she didn't mention anything about casino. And I hadn't gotten any email about the offer, so I wouldn't have known about it had she not called.

It is called Private Pack and Play. At least on my wife's account.
