I think you can. I booked one cruise onboard when I was Platinum. I was emerald when the cruise was over. The LA told me to call once I saw my new status and they did get me the addtional $25 balcony discount when I called Crown and Anchor 3 weeks later.

 

How long ago was this? I will be diamond after our next cruise and have been told that if you get the balcony discount adjusted they will reprice the base cruise price. If your price is not higher no issue, but if it is this can negate the upped discount amount. Supposedly these are new rules with the latest change in their pricing model. Upset since I have 3 cruises booked with the emerald discount applied all of which have gome up since I booked.

What nightly complimentary drinks?

Diamond members have a complimentary cocktail period from about 5pm to 8:30pm nightly. On most ships in includes free soda, house wine, selected beers, and basic mixed drinks. On a few ships that have not been upgraded, it only includes free soda and house wine.
