cruiselvr1 Posted June 11, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 11, 2014 Is there a difference comfort wise between either caribe, dolphin, or emerald decks. Is there more noise (clubs, screws, etc) in the aft suites. Thanks
Rare azbirdmom Posted June 11, 2014 #2 Share Posted June 11, 2014 We've been in the same suite (D737) on the Star and the Caribbean Princess. Both times the location was great and we didn't hear any sounds from the lounge 2 decks below which might be a problem on the Emerald deck. There is white noise from the wake that didn't bother us and in fact it was very relaxing.

We were just in C750 and enjoyed it...the balcony was tight with the 2 poles so we booked D737 for our Jan cruise on CB...does anyone know if the rooms are the same size? san diego sue Posted June 11, 2014 #4 Share Posted June 11, 2014 (edited) Didn't like the aft suite on the Golden, Caribe deck. It had the obstructions(beams). With the large teak furniture very difficult to move around on the balcony and the balcony was shallow.Hardly used it. Next time on the Sapphire we had a side facing suite . It was so much nicer, also on Caribe deck. Huge balcony. Edited June 11, 2014 by san diego sue
IdahoCruises Posted June 11, 2014 #5 Share Posted June 11, 2014 We had B750 on the Grand to HI last October. Nice large balcony and even though we had a beam, it was not obstructive to the use of our balcony. No noise except the sea....aaahhhh..... Would book the same room in a heartbeat.... Jim Avery Posted June 11, 2014 #8 Share Posted June 11, 2014 We had E733 on Star (over the show lounge) and had no issues with noise of any kind. Some have said the wake noise keeps them awake. Just the opposite for us, the rush of the sea sounds wonderful. Also had 6088 on Pacific. Had a strange intermittent "boom" type noise from somewhere below. Not sea as it happened in flat calm or at the dock. Strange but otherwise a great space to stay. Will book aft suites again in a heartbeat.:D

Steviewonder1 Posted June 11, 2014 #13 Share Posted June 11, 2014 We have booked on the last 3 cruises rear Penthouse Suites on the Crown and Ruby on the Aloha Deck. Picture is included. Nothing but the soothing sound of the wake. Did not hear the adult pool which is just above us. These decks have plenty of room with table and 4 chairs plus two loungers. We hosted a M&G on our last New England Cruise and had 37 new friends in with us. Space not a problem.
