getting to Mendenhall Glacier - city bus vs. glacier shuttle

I know that the blue bus is Might Great Trips and is $10 each way.

But I've heard people mention a white bus. Who is that vendor? Same fare?

thanks for all your input peeps! I just rented a car for $60. that seems like a pretty good deal for all the convenience.

 

SparkleBee, which company did you find a car for $60? Cheapest I could find was $75 in Juneau and that's not bad, but wondering if I can find one cheaper. We are 4 people so we prefer 4 doors. Are you picking up the car at airport or Juneau?

Avis is who I rented from. They may be sold out on the cheaper models. I still think $75 is reasonable. I'm paying $125 for 1 day in Skagway for comparison! my pickup is at the Goldbelt Hotel walking distance from port.
