FireEater Posted June 22, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 22, 2014 (edited) I am MAD!!! I used credit card points to purchased cruise dollars for an upcoming cruise. Turns out when I received the certificate, it CAN NOT be used for on board credit, but for purchasing a cruise!!!!! It gives me until the 25th to book and use this certificate. Sa La Ve to 20,000 point :( Edited June 22, 2014 by FireEater

FireEater Posted June 22, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted June 22, 2014 (edited) That's a giant "Oops!". Gotta read the fine print.;) No truer words have been spoken. I can not even take a 3 day one as the days from my local port are thur-sun...I need a fri-mon. I can live with just going to Nassau but I have been saving my vacation time for my August 8 day cruise.... I have an email into my CC company to see if they will take pity on me and return my points if I return the certificate. LOL I can imagine the answer I will get on this one.... Sa La Ve to 20,000 point :( I would cal l Carnival and ask them to apply the certificate to your boking. Did this a while back and the rep applied my citi certificate that had the same fine print. Of course withh carnival who knows what they will tell you. Sent from my SGH-T599 using Tapatalk

TruckerDave Posted June 22, 2014 #8 Share Posted June 22, 2014 Can't you just book a dummy cruise in late 2015 for example, use the credit/points and then when you decide when you want you next actual cruise to be change that dummy cruise to the actual one you want?
