jcearth Posted June 25, 2014 #27 Share Posted June 25, 2014 Trying to see which nights to skip the MDR and get a specialty restaurant. Here's the entrees that caught my eye. If you've had them, please rate as 3, 2, 1 3= don't miss this one, it's great! 2= it's OK, nothing special 1= avoid Fillet of tilapia 2 Sweet and sour shrimp Lobster tail 2 Prime rib Jerked pork loin 2 Braised short ribs Grilled pork steak Grilled jumbo tiger shrimps 2 Martini braised basa fillet 3 Chateaubriand 3 Fillet of mahi mahi Panko crusted jumbo shrimp 3 Lobster is pretty good, and you can get as many as you would like The basa filet is the most interesting dish, and the chateaubriand is pretty hard to mess up - good piece of meat

Shaded Lady Posted June 25, 2014 #29 Share Posted June 25, 2014 Awww come on folks... you've missed telling about the one thing that they have in the MDR every night... Chocolate Melting Cake.:D Don't miss it!!! Intentionally left off my list! I find it WAY too rich and gooey... if it's not gooey then it's too dry. Tried it twice, even with the double scoops of ice cream- not my cup of tea! Sorry I know it's shocking to those of you who love it!
ccruisequeen Posted June 25, 2014 #30 Share Posted June 25, 2014 Loved Chateaubriend and lobster. Never had the others listed. Wishing they will add the strawberry bisque back.

ccruisequeen Posted June 30, 2014 #32 Share Posted June 30, 2014 (edited) Avoid Lo Mein noodles. Totally tasteless according to my mom On the other hand, strawberry bisque has returned to the Imagination 3-Day menu. I loved the duck potstickers in May, because they were made fresh and could be made without mushrooms. They've changed since May and come pre-made with mushrooms already included so I couldn't order them last week. They've also changed the Caesar salad so I couldn't order it without the anchovy paste. LambKnuckles Posted June 30, 2014 #33 Share Posted June 30, 2014 Not just what you have on your list... Crème Brulee Bitter and Blanc Lobster (order at least two, they're small) Tilapia is divine Crab cakes Fried Shrimp Caesar Salad The fruit soups are great -- but I order them like smoothies, and ask for them to be poured into a glass. Beef Stroganoff Baked potatoes just to mention some...
mzloolue Posted June 30, 2014 #34 Share Posted June 30, 2014 Prime rib 2 Jerked pork loin 2 Braised short ribs 3+ Chateaubriand iffy, sometimes 3+ and sometimes 1- Panko crusted jumbo shrimp, these are THE GOOD SHRIMP. The thing is that sometimes things are hit or miss. Sometimes something is really good and sometimes not so good. The prime rib is just prime rib. If you like prime rib then get it. The jerked pork is good. The braised short ribs are like a tender pot roast and are wonderful. I have had the chateaubriand be literally inedible and I have had it when it was wonderful. We used to do the late dinner seating. On the day they were having the good shrimp on the main dining room menu they will also have it in the buffet. We would cruise by the buffet when it opened and get a couple of the Good Shrimp as an early appetizer.

Chateaubriand, jumbo tiger shrimp, lobster tail, and prime rib were delicious!! The braised short ribs: I couldnt tell which was the short ribs and which was the filet minon. I didn't care for either one. The Jerked pork loin was WAY TOOO SPICY! I couldn't even eat it. The Panko jumbo shrimp are awful, and the shrimp looks "fake".
