Beginning to look at October, 2015 cruises -- my 4 biggest deciding factors are always: new ports, ample sea days, ship, FL port.

 

 

Here are my top picks -- all 8-day, all new-to-us ships, all prices comperable -- new ports in blue:

• FLL - Conquest - GT, La Romana, Curacao, Aruba
  
• PC:) - Sunshine - Aruba, Bonaire, GT
  
• PC:) - Sunshine - S Kitts, St Maarten, San Juan, GT
  
• Miami:( - Breeze - S Kitts, St Maarten, San Juan, GT
  

Have you done these? Thoughts? Discuss amongst yourselves!:o

If it were me, I would do the Conquest since it has 3 new ports; then the 4-port Sunshine. Like visiting ports and 3-4 days on the sea is good.

All else equal, I would do Conquest since so many new ports. I don't think you'd go wrong with any of those though.

We have been to most of the ports with the exception of Bonaire and St. Kitts, so I go with the Conquest since it is an 8 day cruise, and 3 out of the four ports are new for you!!!

If going to Curaçao via a Carnival ship is important to you, go with the Conquest. Carnival is starting to phase out Curaçao and replacing it with Bonaire. Many cruises have had itinerary changes to reflect this change, similar to when Carnival phased out Costa Rica and Panama.

We had the same dilemma for our cruise choices for May 2015. We chose the Conquest because of the departure port (Fort Lauderdale), the itinerary and because, overall, the Conquest has received good reviews. We also live 20 minutes away from Port Everglades so that make our decision easier. We did opt for a scenic ocean view stateroom instead of a balcony because of the higher prices for this 8 nighter. The Conquest does not have a Serenity deck if that is important to you but this ship has all the other upgrades, i.e., Blue Iguana, Red Frog Pub, Guy Fieri's, Alchemy Bar.

My vote is for the Carnival Sunshine with Aruba, Bonaire, and Grand Turk
