Using online travel agent... Checking in?

Recommended Posts

I'm considering using an online travel agent on our 3-night cruise to get free tips included in the price (trying to do this trip as cheaply as possible).

Will we still be able to check in online with RCI and get our C&A points? I've always booked directly with Royal. I'm assuming the answer is yes, but I want to make sure I have the correct information before booking. We are within final payment so I don't want to risk it.

Yes, you can do online check-in yourself if you book with a travel agent. You will also get C&A points and be able to book specialty restaurants, excursions, etc.

Yes, we always book with an online travel agent. You will be given a booking number, which is what you use on the cruise lines website to access your booking information.

Yes, and give your TA your C&A # to update your cruise points. That's the first thing that I give my TA because it leads to any due discounts, eg. balcony

Use an online TA for almost every cruise. Like the extra obc and free garatuities

The only thing you cant do, when using an online TA, is change cabins or get price drops.

The TA has to call Royal and do it for you
