Seeing NYC after cruise??

I am sailing Explorer to Bermuda for 5 nights in Aug from Sat through Thursday. I live in PA so its only a short 2 hour ride to the pier. I am brain storming before and after the cruise to decide if it would be easy or worth it to do a bit of sight seeing one of those days? Any suggestions on that? We plan to park right at the pier. Thank you

Hi Chrissy. Yes, it's worth it since you're most of the way there. Wouldn't be bad to spend one night at a NYC hotel too. Hotels near Cape Liberty would probably let you leave your car there if you wanted to take public transport, or drive into NYC and then take some public transport around instead of driving from place to place in NYC.

Liberty State Park, Ellis Island, Statue of Liberty, and the Science Center are near the port along the turnpike extension too.
