DoulaAnn Posted July 29, 2014 #151 Share Posted July 29, 2014 Marla, Your reviews have been SO entertaining as well as informative. They have me super-excited for our Baltic cruise coming up soon. As for Florence's duct tape issues, if she will sit still for it, a good spritz of Spray n Wash followed by a leisurely amount of time for it to soak in, and then her usual bath might do the trick. lizzy77 Posted August 1, 2014 #152 Share Posted August 1, 2014 Loved your review as we are on the Royal on Sept 2nd. Also using SPB tours in all the ports. Thanks for sharing.
bcnvcanada Posted August 1, 2014 #153 Share Posted August 1, 2014 Loved your review. So full of good information and pictures We laughed over the seagulls of Finland. Isn't that (Finland) where Angry Birds' was created? We were not told about the seagulls but found out about them while seating on the balcony. Thanks again. Will be looking forward to your future travels.
ljrlaw Posted August 7, 2014 #154 Share Posted August 7, 2014 Thanks so much for your great review! I really enjoyed following Florence throughout northern Europe. We were on the same itinerary out of Warnemunde July 20-31/14. I can advise that we did do the Vasa museum in Stockholm on our own, and while the line-up outside looked huge, we had been forewarned by Rick Steves in his "Northern European Cruise Ports" guide book "not to panic" as the line moved quite quickly. He was right, and we were in the museum in about 10 minutes. We took the English language tour that was provided on an hourly (and possibly more often) basis, and found the museum and the ship fascinating. We used the hop-on/hop-off boat in Stockholm to get to the Vasa, and then to Gamla Stan.
Wavelet Posted August 7, 2014 #155 Share Posted August 7, 2014 Thanks for the funny, frank, informative review. With so much to see and do I'm surprised you had time to write! Egret32 Posted August 9, 2014 #156 Share Posted August 9, 2014 I can't believe I found this just a week before we board in Stockholm! Lot of insights. Glad I ordered those light rain ponchos. And just made a note to pack binder clips. I'm a professional writer (novelist) and your style is so delightful and engaging, I read all the way to the end. Also, the addition of Florence had special appeal. Only thing missing was some love interest for Florence. You had the death-defying images. Also you are a brilliant mom--but you knew that.
