Bailey & Sophie Posted July 20, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 20, 2014 Looking at Norwegian for a Caribbean cruise next year. I have seen several cruises that leave out of, say Ft. Lauderdale, go to 1 or 2 ports, go BACK to Ft. Lauderdale and then go for the remaining of the cruise. Why do they revisit the port again? This doesn't make any sense to me. DevCruise Posted July 20, 2014 #3 Share Posted July 20, 2014 Sounds like a back-to-back sold as a combined itinerary to me.
tinyrose Posted July 20, 2014 #4 Share Posted July 20, 2014 Sounds like a back-to-back sold as a combined itinerary to me. I agree. When a true B2B is booked, it requires two (2) deposits, one for each cruise. When a cruise is listed as you referenced (a combined itinerary), it only requires one (1) deposit. NCL doesn't use Fort Lauderdale. So you must be talking about Miami. Also, I think you are looking at Norwegian Sky ... she has 3-day AND 4-day cruises, and you are looking at the 7-day cruise that is the combo of 3- and 4- day cruises. It's called Back to Back (b2b). On the Spirit I believe. And what happens is, some people only book the first part of the cruise, others book the second part of the cruise. NCL has combined this itinerary but it's really 2 separate cruises. Enjoy
