Thanksgiving cruise on Princess

We cruised last Thanksgiving on the Golden and will be back again this year. On Thanksgiving they had a little tree set up in the atrium with paper leaves upon which you could write what you were thankful for and hang it on the tree. It was quite full by the end of the day, a nice touch I thought. There was a very pretty Thanksgiving display in the atrium and a special Thanksgiving trivia session. And of course the requisite turkey dinner and pumpkin pie available in the dining room and buffet.

On our last evening, the ship was being decorated for Christmas and by the morning of our departure was already looking quite festive so we got to enjoy that as well.

Princess uses private contractors for their Christmas decorating. Normally, begins the sailing after Thanksgiving ... but on our last Thanksgiving cruise they began hanging some things that Friday.

It's quite enjoyable to be on a Princess ship for Thanksgiving! :)
