The benefit is applicable on sailings through July 31, 2015 aboard the brands listed below. Certain restrictions apply. Applications to receive these benefits should be made at least two weeks prior to cruise departure date.

This benefit is available to shareholders holding a minimum of 100 shares of Carnival Corporation or Carnival plc. Employees, travel agents cruising at travel agent rates, tour conductors or anyone cruising on a reduced-rate or complimentary basis are excluded from this offer. This benefit is not transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash and, cannot be used for casino credits/charges and gratuities charged to your onboard account. Only one onboard credit per shareholder-occupied stateroom. Reservations must be made by February 28, 2015.

Please provide by fax or by mail your name, reservation number, ship and sailing date, along with proof of ownership of Carnival Corporation or Carnival plc shares (for example, photocopy of shareholder proxy card, shares certificate, a dividend tax voucher or a current brokerage or nominee statement with your brokerage account number blacked out) to your travel agent or to the cruise line you have selected below.

When did it change? I only got the other one just after the AGM.

 

If it's due to exchange rates will it revert during the year if there is a swing in the opposite direction.

The shareholder benefit request form is not even generally known about in the UK and is, IMO targetted at north american users. I have never seen one before and never filled one in. Passengers returning from recent P&O cruises report that the obc is the same as set out on the Carnival site.

 

 

Agree the form MajorTom has is for US consumption and headed Princess. Clearly had not been changed as they deal in the US$.

Yes it covers Cunard, Princess, HAL, Costa, Carnival, Aida, P&O including Australia etc.

The only criteria is that you can only claim once you have paid your final payment and preferably no later than two weeks before sailing. You have to produce evidence that you own 100 shares at the time of claiming. There is no requirement to hold them for a minimum time. If you are sailing in January, you could buy the shares in December and claim then or buy anytime from now when you feel the price is right.

You beat me to it BT, I just remembered to apply for our back to back on Oceana September/October, last night and I got my Email back first thing saying I had £150 for the 2 week cruise and £60 for the 11 night second cruise.

 

 

That's £570.00 for us this year.

One of the strange things about the shareholder OBC is that it is quoted in number of days. 14 days is actually 13 nights. We did happen to do a 13 night cruise some years ago and got the full amount.

Maybe, but Princess have got the sterling figures wrong. As Princess ships are all dollar based, the sterling figures are a bit meaningless.

The definitive information is on the Carnival corporate website, which has not changed.

You are dissapointing no one. That form is for Princess cruises and is nothing to do with P&O which has the shareholder obc as set out on the Carnival website.

Please explain to me then why it mentions what you get in £ Sterling when Princess cruises uses American Dollars onboard and all cruisers whichever country they maybe from get thier OBC like I have done for my up and coming cruise in September in dollars.

We bought our shares in December last year and claimed our OBC for our HAL cruise during January we sailed on February 2nd. And received $250.
