Lizzie68 Posted July 27, 2014 #53 Share Posted July 27, 2014 I think that must be the Disney Dream.:)
monina01 Posted July 27, 2014 #54 Share Posted July 27, 2014 I'm still trying to figure out why they put that cam there in Morgan Hill California. I don't see any water...? Switching to Port Canaveral now...there goes a fun-ship :D

rkacruiser Posted July 27, 2014 #58 Share Posted July 27, 2014 And there's one with a dark hull - is that the Disney ship? Yes, that is the Disney ship. Sometimes when they sail by the web cam location, they will play a Disney tune on the ship's whistle.

The Baltimore based Grandeur of the Seas is docked at the overflow terminal, down close to Jetty park. When the Dream goes past there may be a quick view of the Grandeur. Grandeur doesn't leave until 21:30. I think it turned in the basin on the way in, so there won't be much to see tonight. Roy
Lizzie68 Posted July 27, 2014 #61 Share Posted July 27, 2014 They move out quite quickly on this port - and few horns.:(
Rare Vict0riann Posted July 27, 2014 Author #62 Share Posted July 27, 2014 Mainly it seems like restaurant sounds - with the occasional raspy horn! Hope Disney does better, at least she has a dark hull:).
rkacruiser Posted July 27, 2014 #63 Share Posted July 27, 2014 Roy, Thanks for the update! I was not aware that Grandeur was in port. No Disney tune from Dream. Just as we see at Port Everglades sailings, some Masters are more PR oriented than others.

rkacruiser Posted July 27, 2014 #65 Share Posted July 27, 2014 Rarely have I seen two ships departing so close to each other. If Freedom would make a sudden stop, she would have a "mouse" running onto her stern the way the view from the camera looks.

I'm pretty sure that's an optical illusion and they aren't really that close. At least I hope so. I wonder, are all the Disney ships equipped to play a tune? rkacruiser Posted July 27, 2014 #69 Share Posted July 27, 2014 It appeared to me that Dream did briefly stop as Freedom turned to the starboard to head in a southernly direction. I have no knowledge of the channel at Port Everglades, but maybe Dream had to wait until Freedom was about to clear the channel?
