Then it's a trip to the pier? How long?

 

If So I should leave my departing flight till about 1:00 pm - correct.

The arrival in Houston is for about 11:00am.

 

Northwest - 1 stop and Continental no stop are the choices.

$150 per.......................$320 per.

Hobby is the closer of the two airports.

 

Hobby is about 45 minutes from the port and Bush is about an hour and a half.

 

If not using X transfers, check with either a limo company, about $150 each way and private, or Galveston Limo Service, it's a bus company about $65 round trip.

 

Make sure your departing flight doesn't leave before 1pm.

Got it on the limo and transfer.

 

Is there a code for Hobby airport.

Orbitz only has HOU on it.

 

But they come in as IAH - not HOU.????

IAH is Bush and HOU is Hobby. It seems as if most flights go into IAH

 

We did this cruise last year and had a blast.

Looks like it's into Bush IAH - not Hobby HOU.

I looked at the flights and no one goes there but Midwest.

And from Newark it is an all day trip.

I think the earliest they get into Hobby is 6:00pm.

Ship leaves then.

 

Do you know what the $$$ on the ship provided transfers are.

And what the time frame for it is.

So I could hit the 1:00pm flight out of Houston. IAH.

The ship transfers were $30 each way last year. Frankly, we found it easiest to take Galveston Limo TO the pier, and the ship's transfers back. You can also do a one way rental through Enterprise, but must reserve directly with the offices in Houston and Galveston. Their pricing is really flaky. We paid $22 once for a car from Houston to Galveston. Three weeks later they wanted $62 for the same rental.

 

We did 5 cruises out of Galveston last winter, including 3 on the Galaxy. It is a wonderful cruise, and even though the ship is definitely showing her age style-wise, the warmth and service shown by all the officers, staff and crew more than make up for it. We enjoyed that cruise more than our Constellation cruise, simply for that reason.

I guess you're going out of Newark. We can get flights to Hobby on Southwest, but the times are lousy. Most likely, we will be doing Continental, with a return time in Houston of 1:05ish. It's kind of close, but the next flight is after 6 PM. Actually, USAir has some decent times, but the seats are REALLY small.
