Secret Harbor on your own

Has anyone taken a cab to secret harbour? I wanted to know if you can rent chairs and umbrellas if you are not with the cruise ship? We would go with the ship but they only give you 2.5hrs which isn't enough time for us. :rolleyes:

Yes, anybody can go to any of the beaches on their own. Secret Harbor has limited chair rentals so I would reserve through Aqua Action Dive Shop at Secret Harbor.

Yes self-excursions are very common on STT because the taxi system is excellent. Just look for a taxi at the port heading that way, the taxi coordinator can help direct you to a taxi too. Because SH is one of the popular beaches for cruisers there should be taxis stopping in for the return, but since SH is off the main road you may want to ask the driver if he will be returning at a certain time.

 

SH has more limited chairs and much less shaded areas available than Sapphire, but is a beautiful beach that's home to a condo property and a good restaurant. And as mentioned you can contact the dive center ahead of time.
