How much money to take??

Can someone give me an idea on how much money to save besides the actual price we are paying for the cruise? My husband and I are going on a 7 day Exotic Western Caribbean Cruise on the Valor. There will be 4 ports and I want to be sure to do fun excursions at each one in the mid-price range. I definately want to go cave tubing, swimming with the dolphins, and see the stingrays if possible. I'm not much into laying on the beach or too much shopping. But I love sight seeing just enjoying my surroundings. Other than that, I want to spend one night in the casino with about $100 to spend apiece. I'm going to try to avoid buying any pictures and am going to leave on the pre-paid gratuity. I also am going to endulge myself with a massage, plenty of foo-foo drinks, and maybe a night at Scarletts. My husband will be drinking as well. Oh, we will also be spending the night in a hotel one night before. If anyone has any suggestions on a great hotel that overlooks the port, I would appreciate it). Is there a Marriott on the port? If anyone can help me and take a stab on how much to bring, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks. I know its a lot!!

Try to book and pay for excursions ahead of time...why bring all that cash!! Some of the excursions only take cash though (keep that in mind). Use a credit card for your S&S instead of bringing cash. But it looks like you are gonna need atleast $1,000. That is about what I bring for 3 of us. There are 4 of us but my daughter has her own S&S card. We do pay for 4 on excursions and stuff like that though. I pay the hotel and rental car ahead of time and I also pay the excursions (if through the ship) ahead of time. I am a shopper though!!

Chucksta has hit the nail on the head with his guesstimation...

the swimming with the dolphins runs about $ 120.00 per person I think...

foo - foos run $ 5.bucks... a piece,

I would count on $ 100.00 per person per day for what you are thinking of doing...

enjoy your cruise

My sign and sail account was $1500. (I likes my drinks plus some GOOD champagne, plus some shipboard shopping)

For excursions, in port dining, in port drinking, in port shopping, and gambling we had an additional $3000 cash
