There is also some helpful information on obtaining the 72 hr Muzee card that enables you to skip many of the queues. I'm happy to answer any questions.

You can see why I was so unhappy the first time I visited Istanbul and took a ship tour that didn't allow us to get to the 2nd floor of Haghia Sophia -- it's the best part!!

 

I also join with you in telling others that the main sites are all very close together. I don't think you realize that unless you actually walk it. When they are loading you on and off buses and driving around areas due to pedestrian zones, things seem farther away than they really are.

I am so glad we went in November. We did not need to get the pass as there were no crowds and it was perfect weather.
