Been to Bahamas a few times. all we ever do is the flee market where ships dock, and head over to Atlantic Hotel to walk around.. any nice beaches in Nassau ?? seven adults just drink, and relax no frills just calm warm waters, and sand

Walk to Junkanoo Beach. When you get off the ship head to the right and keep walking. Go past the Hilton and soon enough (about 10 minutes in total) you will reach the beach. There are washrooms, bars and you can rent chairs and umbrellas and if you rent those you get free wifi. We can spend hours there and only spend $20. Very relaxing and a nice view of the ships. I have read people say that it is dirty but we were just there in March for the 3rd time and I found it clean and comfortable.

We went to Junkanoo beach one time and was NOT impressed. On that particular day the beach was trashed, the bathrooms were flooded/overflowed and there were some very sketchy people hanging around. We did not stay long because we were so uncomfortable.....and my husband is a police officer!!!

Now we just stay on the ship.

Sorry just trying to be honest........:o

Sheraton is next to the Wyndham and is adjacent to the crystal Palace casino. Guests of the Sheraton may also use the Wyndham property.

I also recommend Cabbage Beach. We were there in June and it is beautiful; white sand and turquoise water. There are vendors selling drinks. We had an unbelievable time! There are signs as you exit the port for taxis that take you there.

Can I visit the casino at Atlantis to do some gambling without any kind of day pass? And can I walk there from the ship? I'm not a big beach person, as much as I like the sun. I know that it's pretty hard to get tanned in the casino, hahaha. Rusty A.

When you get into the port and the ship ties up look at the HUGE buildings on the barrier beach across the water from the pier. These are the buildings of Atlantis. It is much too far to walk unless you like walking for miles! You can take a cab there or get the water taxi at the pier. Haven't taken the water taxi for quit a while but there was walk to Atlantis then.

Anyone can walk in and gamble. We had fun watching people lose $1,000 chips with their arm dripping gold bracelets.

the water taxi is a nice boat ride to the Atlantis you sail by Nicholas Cage house, he lives right next door to the Atlantis Hotel then you dock under a bridge and it a shot walk to the Atlantis Hotel and its not expensive
