Did you find it worthwhile?

Did you see much besides trees, it flies over the Tongass National Forest to George Inlet Lodge?

Crab awesome?

Debating this tour with the Misty Fjords Flightseeing where there is probably better sceneray but no crab for the wife.

Thanks for any help! :)

If you like crab, this is the excursion for you. I took it last May 2013. How much crab can you eat in one hour? Add open bar, appetizers, salad, and NY cheesecake to make it a day of gluttony. I managed to eat only five of the half crabs and left a trail of shells and crab debris in a 14-inch arc around my plate.

The flight back in the small plane (holds six passengers) is at the pilot's discretion as to what is seen. Flying through the valleys and then up to the peaks gave me some cool pics. The takeoff and landing on the water was like gently lying on a soft bed.

Here are photographs of the lodge and feast:

I did the same excursion, without the flight this May 2014 and we had a bear cub visit the water right beside the lodge.
