Some on Emerald deck have lifeboat equip (davits) etc. When looking at the cabin description some are noted there in red. WAVTAM Posted August 7, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 7, 2014 E 630/631 and E 701/702 are listed as obstructed, but actually have clear view in all directions.
sashas_mom Posted August 7, 2014 #6 Share Posted August 7, 2014 (edited) Has anyone been in E505 on the Royal/Regal? Does the tender outside this balcony come down in port? Just curious. Never had an obstructed balcony before. Do they lower all the tenders in a port? Is there a way to tell which ones they lower from the pictures? From pictures I've seen, some look smaller than others, wonder why? Edited August 7, 2014 by sasha'smom

Check out Dave's post which will help you: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showpost.php?p=42193992&postcount=2 The larger boats are tenders, the smaller ones are lifeboats. Lifeboats are not normally lowered in port or used as tenders.
