Gold Creek salmon Bake

My DH and I will be in Juneau on 26th August with RCI. I have been using CC to make a list of restaurants to try for all our ports on the cruise. I love salmon and was wondering what the feedback is for the salmon bake. Have I left it to late to try and make a booking ? ( I can't make the times RCI are offering ) is it within walking distance from the ship ? Do you even have to pre-book ?

They do a very good job at the Gold Creek Salmon Bake. I would not book this in advance, as it is outside and in cold damp weather, not ideal. The area is covered. You can easily just wall up to a booth and purchase the bake. Loop shuttle buses run most of the day.

 

Alternatively in foul weather, I like Twisted Fish and the Hanger on the dock.

Thanks Budget Queen, does the shuttle bus you mention run to the Ships or is it from the bake back into the town.
