wheelchair assistance for enbarkation

We will be sailing on the Freedom soon and I'm curious. .My DH often uses a wheelchair and this year we are bringing our own. I know when we boarded the Pride the staff took him up the ramp in one of their wheelchairs. But since we have our own, will the staff still give me some assistance getting him up that ramp in Lauderdale? While I can normally navigate him, going up a steep ramp might be a problem.

I had ankle surgery before my last Celebrity cruise and yes they did take me up the ramp. I assume it would be the same

I see no reason why this accomodation wouldn't be provided.

I am sure someone will help you push the wheelchair up the ramp but be sure to ask because if your hubby is in his own chair they may think that you are able to do it yourself. Ask when you check-in and if you don't get an answer just keep asking the staff walking around in the terminal.

They will direct you to an area of others in wheelchairs. There are several staff members who push the chairs onto the ship and return to take the next in line.

Agree with above; on debarkation the atrium area is often reserved for those in wheelchairs and they are escorted off from there.
