flyboyswife Posted August 14, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 14, 2014 I've left printing my cruise documents and boarding passes to the last minute (in part b/c I have a guaranty cabin that has yet to be assigned) and now I don't have access to a working printer. Any suggestions?
pls5286 Posted August 14, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 14, 2014 I did this on my FOS cruise. I waited too late to print, just so I wouldn't loose the docs. We were able to do everything that needed to be printed at the terminal. It just took a little longer to check in.

gtalum Posted August 14, 2014 #4 Share Posted August 14, 2014 Find a local hotel and slip into the business center.
cjnwildfire Posted August 14, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 14, 2014 Just write down your booking #, Deck and Room #, have it with you. They will give you luggage tags for any checked bags...It will just take an extra minute or 2. It will be ok, they can print it out when you check in with that info and your ID. If you have FTTF make sure you tell the luggage guys. Have a great cruise. There is always a library, Kinkos, the UPS store, or your hotel the night before (if you have one). flyboyswife Posted August 14, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted August 14, 2014 ok thanks - don't have time to deal with kinkos/library etc if it's not necessary (and it sounds like it's not - esp since my cabin hasn't been assigned yet). thanks again! SadieN Posted August 14, 2014 #7 Share Posted August 14, 2014 (edited) Make sure you have access to your docs. Having it on your smartphone will work. Having them in some form will make it easier to enter the terminal. Edited August 14, 2014 by SadieN
SkyMaster Posted August 14, 2014 #8 Share Posted August 14, 2014 EXCELLENT! I certainly wouldn't worry about it, and especially since you don't have a cabin assignment yet. Luggage tags would have to be attached by the guys who take the checked luggage anyway, and as noted above, the other documents needed, can be created at check in. Relax, and enjoy the cruise! ;) "SKY"
sjcruiser Posted August 14, 2014 #9 Share Posted August 14, 2014 I'd save a copy of the docs on my smartphone, or compatible phone, and not worry about printing them out since you haven't been assigned a cabin yet.

092306 Posted August 15, 2014 #11 Share Posted August 15, 2014 You don't really need the cruise docs or boarding pass for check-in. Once DH forgot them and check-in was no problem at all.
cb at sea Posted August 15, 2014 #12 Share Posted August 15, 2014 True...you don't NEED any of it...as long as you did the online check-in, they've got your info!

near the beach Posted August 15, 2014 #15 Share Posted August 15, 2014 (edited) Most pack and ship places or regular print shops will print them for you if you can’t print them at work or at a friends place. mzloolue Posted August 15, 2014 #18 Share Posted August 15, 2014 (edited) You don't have to have any documents printed. Just go to the door and they will find your name on a list. As you come to more "checkpoints" they will check the list too. It will add between 5 and 10 minutes to getting through check in. It is not a big deal. I have done it a couple of times. I knew that documents were not required as when they used to send them in the mail, they never came for one cruise. When I called they told me that I really did not need the documents anyway. And I did not need them. But if no one had them it would really foul things up. Can you imagine everyone lining up to have their name checked off on a list? My printer would not print my documents last year. Sometime while we were gone on the cruise it had printed them all three times and they were all over the floor. Sometimes it seems that machines have a perverse sense of humor. Edited August 15, 2014 by mzloolue
snc_cam Posted August 15, 2014 #19 Share Posted August 15, 2014 I convert them to PDF and carry them on my tablet; along with many other documents for a trip.
