Zuiderdam Cabin / Elevator Question

On the Zuiderdam, are the cabins right beside the mid ship glass elevators very noisy? Looking at cabins 4092 or 5098. Thanks!

The elevators are in foyers, so they're not open to the cabin hallways!

We had 7066 last Aug, loved it

 

 

Booked 8073 for Panama in Nov.

We had the first cabin forward of the elevators and occasionally, during the day, could hear a muffled "ding". Never heard anything at night and it never bothered us. However, there is a threshold between the elevator area and the hallway, and if, or rather when, a service cart went over it, we could hear that. Again, nothing that interfered with sleep or bothered us.

On our first Panama Cruise on The Zuiderdam, we were assigned Cabin 4091, right beside the glass elevator -- loved it -- very quiet and handy

 

This past spring, we did the cruise again and specifically asked for and were able to have this same cabin again.

 

By coincidence, a couple at our table in the MDR room also requested this cabin, but booked the cruise a month after us, and so missed out. One more coincident -- We all live in Victoria -- about a half hour drive away from each other -- we have gotten together a few times since:)
