crazycruzer68 Posted August 19, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2014 I know that usually the Carnival booked excursions and the VIP go first, where do we fall in at? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
countrygirlcruiser1234 Posted August 19, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 19, 2014 With FTTF you can ask your room steward for zone 1 tags for your luggage the night before you debark, but you have to ask otherwise you are grouped in with whatever number they decide to hand out on your deck. keywest1 Posted August 19, 2014 #4 Share Posted August 19, 2014 (edited) FTTF only offers priority on tendered ports, and that is only for tendering TO the port. Heading back to the ship, you will wait in line with everyone else. If the port is not tendered, there is no FTTF perk. riffatsea Posted August 19, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 19, 2014 CountryGirlCruiser, Your info is not correct! I know this is not what the OP asked about but when debarking the ship folks with FTTF automatically are told where to meet for the priority folks who get off the ship first! If you carry your own bags off you can be the first people off the ship. You don't ask the cabin steward for anything you are automatically given priority tags. feedmytummy Posted August 19, 2014 #6 Share Posted August 19, 2014 For non-tendered ports, is there an order they follow to let people off the boat? Like do they make announcements? Or can anyone (whether VIP, booked on an excursion, or not) just get off as soon as the gangway is open?
near the beach Posted August 19, 2014 #7 Share Posted August 19, 2014 Even if you are platinum or FTTF you may receive number 2 or number 3 luggage tags. For platinum or FTTF the luggage tag number like all other luggage tag numbers. It is the location of your luggage in the terminal. Platinum and FTTF will be some of the first to debark the ship no matter what the number of their luggage tag is.
RWolver672 Posted August 19, 2014 #8 Share Posted August 19, 2014 They will make an announcement that the ship is cleared and you may now go ashore. Then it's a free for all. No priority for anyone when it's a docked port.

Or can anyone (whether VIP, booked on an excursion, or not) just get off as soon as the gangway is open? If you are booked on a Carnival excursion, you will have information with your tickets that will tell you where to meet for disembarkation. Early excursions will have priority as necessary to be on time (Carnival only). Otherwise, after the announcement that it's ok to start getting off the ship, you will just head down to the gangway and wait in line, whether Platinum, FTTF, or other. feedmytummy Posted August 19, 2014 #13 Share Posted August 19, 2014 Thanks, everyone. That's what I remember, but it's been a while. And sorry, CrazyCruzer68 - didn't mean to hijack your thread. I did have another related question, but I'll start my own for that ;)
