cigloo Posted August 24, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 24, 2014 Hello all, We are finishing up a cruise in Venice late May 2015 and will continue our travels going inland. We are so overwhelmed looking at hotels that we thought we would reach out to you all. We are looking for a hotel in Bologna - location is important, $300.00 a night budget (less is better), breakfast and clean. We would love to hear some recommendations. Thank you, Jen & Sam :)
cruiseluv Posted August 24, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 24, 2014 (edited) Hi, A couple of years ago I stayed at the Art Corona D'Oro, really liked it. Had a "deluxe" room which was bigger than their standard rooms, and it only cost me 120 euros with breakfast. Going back this year to Bologna but not staying here as the rooms are now over 200 Euros . I'll be staying at a highly recommended B&B http://www.anticaresidenzadazeglio.it/ Location wise they're both centrally located Edited August 24, 2014 by cruiseluv
ptrpanpens Posted September 6, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 6, 2014 Just got back from Bologna in May. Loved the Hotel Orologico, about $250 per night for a deluxe room and right outside the main square. Wonderful service and breakfast and very clean. I loved the brightly painted walls and beautiful mahogany floors. Smack in the center of town. All the Art Hotels are great. Bologna is a wonderful and interesting city, not touristy, reasonably priced and with great food and shopping, as well as sights. But be sure to visit Ravenna, the most beautiful Byzantine mosaics anywhere, including Istanbul, IMO. Only an hour away by train.
