Formal nights

I really wish there were set nights regarding the formal nights on Holland America. Has anyone been on the Maasdam Canada & New England Discovery?

 

If so what were the formal nights please?

HAL can't have set Formal nights because every itinerary is different. HAL wants to have Formal Nights on sea days as much as possible, so it depends on which days are port and which sea days. Also, embarkation day and the day before disembarkation are no-nos for Formal, so you can see it isn't easy, especially on 7 day cruises.

On this cruise they are in a port every day but one. So that's why I'm trying to figure out when the formals will be so I don't book the Pinnacle Grill on a formal night.

If you post the date of your cruise here, we can tell you what nights are formal as many of us have done the Canada/New England cruises on the Maasdam.

This one's not so straightforward. If THIS is your cruise (based on your signature), I'd be pretty certain that the first formal night will be after you leave Bar Harbor as departure is pretty early.

 

I would also think that the second formal night will be on the same day you cruise the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
