skibyrd Posted August 29, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 29, 2014 Looking to take 21 yo son on AOS over spring break next spring. He is worried he will have nothing to do. Anyone with experience if this age kid on AOS? He would like to try some bars I am sure - but not necessarily with his folks!!

The casino is another option. There are usually singles get togethers too, check the Cruise Compass (daily schedule) and Community Bulletin Board near Guest Services

skibyrd Posted August 30, 2014 Author #10 Share Posted August 30, 2014 Thanks all! I think it is the idea of going as an only kid and worried about finding others. We think he will have a ball!!
Teeceefamily Posted August 30, 2014 #11 Share Posted August 30, 2014 We cruise with our only child and yes maybe kids what ever the age may have to make more of an effort if they want company of people their own age then its worth it to do that on the first night meets. This is what my daughter found when she cruised at the age of eight it was easier than at the age of 14 and being female was a bit harder but she made 4 good friends. She thinks its easier for boys you just join in playing football or basketball no chat needed, she thinks that the age 12 to 14 is the hardest age for mixing and looks forward to moving into the 16 year age group lol. It does depend on the child. She was happy to mix sometimes hanging out with us and some with her friends. Also I noticed the the age groups from 15 to 17 and above tend to gather in mixed girls and boys which sometimes can give a better balance.
