Clarea Posted August 30, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 30, 2014 (edited) Has the Grandeur ever been stretched to add more cabins like the Enchantment was? Not stretched, but some public areas were converted to staterooms during the revitalization dry dock. Edited August 30, 2014 by clarea
CarRex Posted August 30, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted August 30, 2014 Theater seats were a real problem after the 6 pm dinner on the Enchantment a few years ago. You had to get there a full hour early in order to get a seat. Is theater seating for the second show an issue on the Grandeur?
leaveitallbehind Posted August 30, 2014 #4 Share Posted August 30, 2014 (edited) Theater seats were a real problem after the 6 pm dinner on the Enchantment a few years ago. You had to get there a full hour early in order to get a seat. Is theater seating for the second show an issue on the Grandeur? Not in our experience. There were only 16 staterooms in total added on deck 7 & 8 in the Centrum area which did not increase capacity enough to be an issue with crowding in any of the venues more than prior to the refurbishment. Grandeur is a great ship with an excellent crew. Edited August 30, 2014 by leaveitallbehind

emeraldcity Posted August 30, 2014 #6 Share Posted August 30, 2014 On boarding day, there was only one showtime scheduled ... not a chance of snagging a seat for that unless you arrived early. There were a few times that the first show had limited seating, because it was scheduled at a time that early seating passengers who finished dinner a bit early could fit in the early show. But the second show always had plenty of seating.

KeywestK Posted September 1, 2014 #10 Share Posted September 1, 2014 No problem with seating in the main theater, the problem was seating in the Centrum for the shows/activities there. If you want a seat, you need to be there VERY early;)

On our trip there was a group that would send people down at like 6pm for the 7:45 show to snag seats in the RR Bar area - what a farce! We ended up all the up on the highest deck of the ship looking down on the show - quite an interesting perspective:cool:
