DrJW Posted September 1, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 1, 2014 Other than contacting O directly, is there a link on the internet where one can see what cabins are still available for a specific sailing? Woould this show all categories and whether they are 'guaranteed or waitlisted'? Would this listing be availab le throuugh O or through some travel agency and how reliable would the information be? I guess once I can see what is open then I can contact O to confirm and book directly with them... Thank you!
Mura Posted September 1, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 1, 2014 You can go to oceaniacruises.com and set up a dummy reservation. When you first see the itinerary it will be indicated if rooms are available or if they are sold out or waitlisted. When you ask for a specific category of available room, they will show up to 7 room numbers.
alaskaca Posted September 1, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 1, 2014 Not sure what a 'dummy reservation' entails. Is this in your name or a fictitious name? Sorry to be so obtuse:o
Mura Posted September 1, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 1, 2014 You can use your true identity! I just call it a "dummy reservation" because you aren't going to complete the reservation, you're just trying to see what level cabins are available. I always sign in as myself when I do this. Of course, should you want to complete the reservation you could do so. Mura
Rare LHT28 Posted September 1, 2014 #5 Share Posted September 1, 2014 You can only sign in as yourself for cruises you are not booked on You could ask your TA to check on the cat you are interested in or use a phoney name
StanandJim Posted September 1, 2014 #6 Share Posted September 1, 2014 Other than contacting O directly, is there a link on the internet where one can see what cabins are still available for a specific sailing? Woould this show all categories and whether they are 'guaranteed or waitlisted'? There are, but they are commercial Enterprises, and the Board guidelines prohibit our listing them here. Would this listing be availab le throuugh O or through some travel agency and how reliable would the information be? Sites which show availability do so by linking with Oceania's data base, therefore the information is interchangeably accurate, until just before the cruise, when Oceania itself will have the best information. amusea Posted September 2, 2014 #7 Share Posted September 2, 2014 I did know of two web agencies that showed availability but one of those two has stopped showing this information. It was one of the "big three" full service web agencies. However there is still one web cruise agency that shows cabin availability along with those categories that only have guarantees remaining. However, now this agency only shows up to seven available rooms for each category so if you see seven rooms listed it probably means that there are more than seven available. One can look at all decks and the available rooms will be indicated with a flashing light (up to seven). This web cruise agency is located near Port Everglades. There may be others also. That is about as much of a hint as I am allowed to give under the CC guidelines. Of course the best source of information is your travel agent.
