Drink packages being "worth it" depends on how much soda (or booze) you drink in a day. If you think you'll drink enough that you'd be over the cost of the package (paying by the drink), then go for it. I've done a few cruises with an open bar package and loved it each time. It's great not having to worry about the bar bill at the end. But I also find myself drinking more than I usually would if I were paying per drink, so its certainly something to put some thought into before you purchase it.

"Worth it" is definitely in the eye of the beholder, but as for me the presence or lack of Coke Freestyle machines makes a big difference in whether I get the soda package. I have to think they increase sales enough to justify expanding their presence across the fleet.

If there is no coke freestyle machine then do we just go to the bars or is there help yourself machines just not freestyle machines.

No self-serve machines for soda, other than Freestyle. A server at a bar or restaurant will get soda for you.
