EpcotBill Posted September 27, 2014 #327 Share Posted September 27, 2014 Jeff, I have a couple of Grand Turk questions. Can you tell me why you prefer Cabana 9? Is there some advantage to that cabana? When you get to Margaritaville where do you check in to get your cabana? I've read on Carnival.com where people say they had a difficult time figuring out where to go. Finally, what is the cost of a bucket of Land Shark and do you get 5 in a bucket? Thanks. Man, I wish I was sitting in a lounge chair with a beer at Grand Turk right now.

Man, I wish I was sitting in a lounge chair with a beer at Grand Turk right now. I prefer the higher numbered cabanas because they are closest to the flowrider and the beach, plus it is a little quieter there than the lower numbers which are closest to the swim up bar and dj. I would take numbers 8, 9, or 10, but since number 9 was always available, I take that. Feels like home. You check in at the Margaritaville Restaurant, just like you were looking for a table. Somebody will be there to help you. If you want a particular cabana, let them know. I don't remember the exact price, but a bucket of Landsharks (6 bottles), will run about $30 dollars. MV is not cheap.

Rare jimbo5544 Posted September 28, 2014 #334 Share Posted September 28, 2014 Which one Jimbo, the Captain's Suite? Yes, a couple of years ago we did the CS on the port side. Room number is 9200. Great room(s) and views out those front windows that are unbelievable (so was the price, ouch). Doing a CS again on the Sunshine (other side and the rooms is a bit different) next August. wrigley80 Posted September 28, 2014 #336 Share Posted September 28, 2014 It was $129.95 Brianna. Oh ok thanks. That's a much better deal than the HMC cabanas [emoji2]
Arizonagirl14 Posted September 28, 2014 #337 Share Posted September 28, 2014 Thanks for your great review. This is one cruise I have been eyeing for awhile, so I might need to book it now. :). If I could ask, what cameras to you and Patti use? Thank, all of your review and pics are fantastic. Sent from my iPad using Forums
Rare Jamman54 Posted September 28, 2014 Author #338 Share Posted September 28, 2014 Oh ok thanks. That's a much better deal than the HMC cabanas [emoji2] Keep in mind that here you don't get any of the extras that you get at HMC, such as sodas, water, snacks, float mats, snorkel gear, etc. What I have shown you is what you get, but still worth it IMHO. The added bonus is that you can lock it and your valuables up when you go out exploring.

We will definitely rent the cabana next time in Grand Turk

Rare Jamman54 Posted September 29, 2014 Author #343 Share Posted September 29, 2014 You and your children can climb on these, for a fee….. Patti took these pictures of some of the beautiful horses that are used for the horseback riding excursion. I can only hope that these animals are treated well….. Ryan is enjoying the pool….. All too soon, it was time to pack up and leave. I paid my tab, making sure to tip Ricardo very well, and told him we would be back here again next August on the Breeze. He said to make sure we requested him. My Sail & Sign card now safely back in my hand, we made our way back to the ship, with Patti taking pictures along the way….. To be continued….. The Carnival Splendor spins around to head out to sea….. We’re going up the gangway and back on board…..
