Yet another AMAZING Jamman review! Thank you so much for taking the time (yet again!) to upload all your amazing pics and share your experience!

If my wife and I ever have the pleasure of sailing with you, the first round of drinks is on me!

Thanks for following along (again!) Looking forward to that first round!!:D

OT: how did you like that game last night!!!??? :D:eek: Jamman, sorry to highjack: I want a picture of you with a Guys Burger in front of you, a beer in one hand and a mudslide in the other! ;);)

Karry, GREAT comeback, but too little too late I'm afraid. :( I will get that picture for you, but you'll have to wait til I cruise on the Breeze. No Guy's on the Splendor, as you well know.

Jamman, our BFF have a condo a few blocks from the cruise terminal in PC. They usually go to one of those waterfront bars for a drink every day for happy hour and always see the ships sailing out. Every time I read a review like yours with pictures sailing out from PC, I strain to see if I can spot our friends at one of the establishments!:p

At this point I had finished shooting video and was bar hopping all around the ship, eventually winding up at the EA Sports Bar, and indulging in several Thirsty Frog Reds. Boy, I love this Cheers program!

Meanwhile, Patti and Ryan grabbed the camera, and took a walk to the few spots she hadn’t photographed earlier. The Funshops were now open…..

We all made it back to the cabin in plenty of time to get ready for dinner. As always, we elected to have Late Seating Dinner. We were given a booth for 4, (# 418), in the Silver Olympian Dining Room…..

CL0347.JPG

Once again, we had an awesome wait team. It seems like I say that on every review I do. It must be that the majority of Carnival’s wait staffs are awesome!! I would like for you to meet June, Maribel, and Laurean…..

CL0348.JPG

Maribel took an immediate liking to Ryan, and we could not leave the dining room unless we gave her a hug!

For our first night's dinner I had the shrimp cocktail, alligator fritters, coconut shrimp, and the grilled mahi mahi. Patti had baked onion soup, ceaser salad, and vegetable lasagna. We both had apple pie a la mode for dessert.

After dinner, Patti went to check out the shops, and Ryan and I went to the Comedy Show at 10:30, to catch Thomas Brown, who was very good.

Afterwards, Ryan went to Club O2, and I thought about hitting the casino, but I was feeling a little tired and went back to the cabin instead. Here is our first night’s turndown service and towel animal. Good Night!

Coming up next: A relaxing first sea day.

I see on day 6 at the taste bar they have ... The cuciana del captiana.

Do they have that restaurant on the liberty?

They didn't the 1st time I was on it, but I know the liberty has had a few upgrades since then.

I have been to the Italian restaurant on the breeze.... And loved it!

Hoping its on the liberty

Thanks

Sorry to say they do not have a cuciana del captiana, nor do they have a Red Frog Pub.

Jammon54, Great review so far! We are doing this itinerary next spring break...but we were moved to the Valor instead of the Liberty. I see we both have something even more in common than just this itinerary. We also lost a son. Our oldest passed in '09. He was only 14. There's no pain like it. His death was sudden. We now cruise yearly just to have something to look forward to. He left behind me and his dad (my dh) my now 16yr old dd, and our now 12yr old ds. It does get easier. How long has it been for you? Prayers said, and I look forward to reading the rest of your review.

CRIKEY! If you tell me you know our BFF JR and Laura and/or were sitting with them I will just have to do a forehead smack and have another drink!:p;):D

Hi Jamman! Love your reviews. We went on the Splendor just after you last year and now we leave next week on the Liberty :). We're from NJ also. We have an ocean suite too. Cabin 7266. Can you please tell me where the "secret deck" is? Thanks!!

Hi,

This is "Mrs. Jamman" aka Patti. Jeff is at work right now so I thought I'd answer your question. Our Kevin died instantly in a car accident this past May 22nd and he was 19. I'm sure you know the unbearable pain that we are in and we send our sincerest condolences to you and any others who have suffered the immeasurable pain of losing a child. It's certainly a club that no parent ever wants to be a part of...:(. It did help us to go on the cruises that had already been planned with Kevin but we missed him terribly while on them.

Thank you for reading and stay tuned for much more!

Patti

Thanks for reading. To get to the not so "secret" deck on deck 7, when you leave your cabin, make a left and walk down the hall towards the front of the ship. When you reach the end, look left, and there will be the doors that lead you outside to the not so "secret" deck. In consideration to those passengers in those forward cabins, please don't let the doors slam when you go out or come in. There are also doors on the other (starboard) side, and also more not so "secret" decks on decks 6, 9, & 10. Enjoy!!

I didn't know it was so recent. I'm soooo sorry!! (We lost our son to an accidental hanging---trying to play a joke on his sister and her friend. Due to how it occurred, it was determined an accident). We had friends who sent us to Destin, FL to their beach home there. It was only five weeks after the accident (end of July). It helped to heal some there but there were many tears shed. As much as it helped, coming home was the toughest part. Just know it WILL get easier. Everyone heals at different paces and grief is as unique as the person. I think when I was in your phase, my biggest issue was just wanting to know there would be a day where I would finally feel happiness again. I got sick to death of these grief books written by moms who were 12-15 years out and still stuck in grief....bitter, and angry at God. That's NOT the norm. Cruises will get better and better again. You just have plow head first through the process. Compassionate Friends is a good group if you can find a local good group. Some are better than others. We went through Grief Share. It helped the most (we are Christians and their program seems more uplifting than CF). Just some thoughts and ideas. Keep on cruising!!!

Lost my DB (my BFF) and DH'es DB due to accidents...special thing is we named our 2 DS'es after them. Joseph and Peter...and then DH'es DB passed after a very very horrible year of CA at Bellevue Hospital last year. DS#1's DW is pregnant with their 3rd DS and his middle name will be Charles after him. I can't imagine the pain you, my parents and my in laws went thru and are going thru and all I can offer is my prayers and thoughts of comfort. You both have had the courage to go on and your sons would be very very proud of you. I told Jamman one time that there will ALWAYS be a very bright star in the night sky shining down on you. All you have to do is look up at the heavens. Prayers to you all and may the days ahead bring floods of memories that bring you comfort and happiness and peace.
