RuthlessBoss Posted September 7, 2014 #6 Share Posted September 7, 2014 why don't you ask on the roll call? If it was for Aug 30 sailing, that was the last entry. I didn't read the roll call, but there were 7 pages. Funny how people post there, but no follow through here.
AdGuyMG Posted September 8, 2014 #7 Share Posted September 8, 2014 (edited) Very weird. If her bed was badly bouncing on the starboard side (which can happen due to rough seas) but the port side of the ship only 100 feet away was totally calm, perhaps she was having a bad dream or experienced some kind of paranormal event. It totally defies the scientific laws of fluid dynamics and perpetual motion on a solid object at sea. The lights going out for 10 minutes can be explained by a possible tripped circuit breaker that was taken care of by the maintenance crew. Kind of sounds like a scene from the Exorcist. ourfamilylovescruising Posted September 10, 2014 Author #9 Share Posted September 10, 2014 I thought she was crazy:eek: but I thought maybe it was a propeller problem they gave a her 500 OBC for each cabin because of this problem and they had 3 cabins. I have cruise around 20 times and I have never heard of only one side if the ship bouncing so I thought I would ask here.

Sounds a bit far fetched, especially with the OBC. Never heard of getting that much for 1 side of the ship bouncing.

Even when the whole ship has had a mechanical breakdown affecting every passenger, they dont give that kind of compensation. Some people like to portray drama and tall tales. jmbadean Posted September 10, 2014 #12 Share Posted September 10, 2014 I've been on 17 carnival cruises and just got off the Liberty on 8-30-14. We were on the starboard side in the lido buffet, and it was vibrating so bad we had to move to the port side, same area in the buffet, no vibration. I don't know how this short of a walk could have stopped ALL of the vibrating, but it did. Never experienced this before and can't explain it, just saying. crusinfamof4 Posted September 11, 2014 #17 Share Posted September 11, 2014 I just got off the Liberty on 08/30 as well. I had an aft port cabin on deck 7. It only vibrated badly when we docked, due to the thrusters. We didn't have any other issues, and I was not aft, aft, I was side aft.

mayabean Posted September 12, 2014 #19 Share Posted September 12, 2014 We were also just off the liberty Aug 30th......there was a definite vibration that I have never experienced before on my 8 prior cruises, including 2 on the liberty prior to this one.....also we lost power in the casino for about 15 min....was kind of odd as no other area lost power, even the tv above the bar stayed lol..... Not only that, she can't be in 2 places at one time. Did she have 2 cabins on opposite sides for comparison? If she is basing this off of somebody else's perception, who knows, some people are very contrarian. Cabin # ?????

erby2283 Posted September 12, 2014 #22 Share Posted September 12, 2014 I was on the 8/30 sailing and had one of the L-Shaped rooms (6481) on the starboard side. We sailed with three other parties who had rooms on the port side (6442, 6450, 6452) and I never felt anything nor did they mention any issues. Like others said, I felt the thruster's when turning the ship but other than that, I thought it was an extremely smooth sailing.
