Docking in Tokyo

Could some one please tell me where the Nautica docked in Tokyo this year? When I asked customer service they gave me the name of a pier but it is in Yokohama not the pier in Tokyo.

While I do not know about Nautica in particular, most ships calling in Tokyo actually dock in Yokohama - much like ships visiting Rome dock in Civitavecchia and ships visiting Florence dock in Livorno, etc

The Nautica is small enough to fit under the Rainbow Bridge, and could therefore use the Harumi dock facilities, within Tokyo proper.

That said, Paul is quite correct and there are many reasons, why the Osanbashi Pier in Yokohama (about 15 miles South) might be preferred for one reason or another.

I'm sure that Oceania would know which they plan on using.

Thank you for letting me know. I would feel better if Oceania spelled the pier's name correctly. I was pretty sure that the ship would fit under the Rainbow bridge, the hotel that they are using for before and after the cruise are near the pier in Tokyo. So it would make sense that they would use the Tokyo pier but the customer service rep said the pier in Yokohama. I guess time will tell.

Any updates as to where the R ships dock when calling in Tokyo?

Is it Tokyo Bay or Yokohama?

In 2015 we left from Harumi even though Oceania mentioned Yokohama.

Looks like it was the same this year.

Thank you - that would be nice and more convenient than Yokohama.
