kycalgal Posted September 8, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 8, 2014 We'll be in Aruba on 10/7 from 1-10pm with our teenagers. We plan to go to a beach or 2 in the afternoon, but wondered what to do after 6:30 or so when it gets dark. Is it a fun and safe place to walk around? Any different or really good street vendor food, casual restaurants, or things to see? We're not looking for clubs, big-time shopping or fancy restaurants. Arubalisa Posted September 8, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 8, 2014 Night time streetside at Palm Beach there is a street fair type atmosphere. There are no food trucks and though there are plenty of restaurants, there are a couple of casual restaurants as well as pizza and ice cream shops. Some of the stores will be open. In Oranjestad the restaurants will be open but the stores close at 6 pm.

OCruisers Posted September 12, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 12, 2014 For nightlife you'll need to head for the Palm Beach area ... nothing much in town any longer. LuLu
cb at sea Posted September 14, 2014 #5 Share Posted September 14, 2014 Around the dock area is perfectly fine....there are restaurants, and hotel/casinos... (the shops will be closed, most likely)....it's as safe as anywhere! You are in no danger.
