Andrina Posted September 8, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 8, 2014 My husband and I are booked on P & O Arcadia for the world cruise January 2015 and are devastated to see all these bad reviews, be it all they were some years ago. Has anyone been on the ship for a world cruise before and able to offer any positive notes? I know they have had a refurb and saw this a few weeks ago when we boarded for a lunch. I was so disappointed in the ship, having been on the Azura, Ventura and Aurora! I am almost at the stage of cancelling as the ship looked so dull so depserately look for some words of encouragement? There is no longer any focal point and no such atrium to add glamour! P and o seem to have spent all their money making the atrium nothing but a doughnut ring and have just added more rooms for them to sell! We are in cabin A171 and would welcome any comments from anyone on the matter please or photos of the cabin??. Thank you
cruisead Posted September 8, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 8, 2014 I'm not familiar with that particular ship, but if you are having this many doubts, and knowing that world cruises are expensive and are many, many days long, you might want to strongly consider canceling. If your feelings about this ship are negative, why would you want to spend weeks on board being unhappy or downright miserable?

dancinman66 Posted September 9, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 9, 2014 Each person sees things in a different way I like Arcadia Check out the roll call Remember most people only bother posting when things are wrong so a lot if reviews are jaded Take with a big grain of salt Sent from my iPhone using Forums
blackpool belle Posted September 9, 2014 #5 Share Posted September 9, 2014 You might also want to change your cabin because I think you are immediately below the swimming pool and it could be quite noisy.

dsrdsrdsr Posted September 9, 2014 #7 Share Posted September 9, 2014 I've been on a 72-night to Alaska on Arcadia, and thoroughly enjoyed it. But apart from that, I can't help you,. because I didn't travel to be enthused by the décor and have no concept of how a ship can be dull; nor did I ever wish to spend time in the Atrium because ultimately it's just a big corridor. If atria and décor are your thing, you might prefer a different ship.
