Which ships need a magnetic card to keep on the lights?

How early are we able to schedule a photo shoot for our family? And where do we schedule this?

I keep reading about going to guest services to apply cash to your acct. is that no longer done when you check in at the port?

In the kids camp, will you be given a phone if your child is special needs? Or only for the 2-5 year olds?

I believe the cards work for the lights on the newer ships (Dream class), not sure about any others.

To the best of my knowledge you have to schedule the photo shoot once on the ship--that was the process for our engagement pictures. I'm sure you know this, but these photo packages are much more expensive than many people expect. I believe they start at $500 and a'la carte photos start at $30.

Some ports do cash at check-in, some ask that you apply it once on the ship. I use the kiosk (usually found outside of GS or the casino) to skip the line.

I think phones are one of the arrangements that they make for children with special needs. I'd consult with the Camp Director the first night to be sure.

Maybe the Breeze and the Magic -- not on the Dream.

Contact Camp Carnival before your departure. You can register the kids on line.

From my experience on Carnival Magic, any card material (playing card, Starbucks card, etc.) will work in the receptacle to operate the lights. It doesn't have to be your Sail&Sign card.

Figured this one out when I saw that my room steward on the Magic was using a folded up two of Clubs to keep the lights on.

We did the same thing. We even would tear off part of the Fun Times & fold it to put in there. Notebook paper probably isn't thick enough. We just hide our substitute paper from the room steward, or they'll throw it away. This extreme nuisance is only on Magic & Breeze. Thankfully, it's not on the Dream!
