sarahbeth476 Posted September 17, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 17, 2014 We have a group of 12 wanting to do cave tubing with .bz. My friend is trying to arrange the excursion and has been told by the bz people that we have to pay upfront. In reading others' reviews, I don't remember seeing this policy. I'm also concerned with the "what if" our ship doesn't port. We 'll be on Carnival Dream, Nov. 2. Any advice appreciated.
jnwinos Posted September 17, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 17, 2014 We booked with a group of 10 in Jan. with bz and are paying when we get there. Not sure where your friend saw this but I booked directly with Vitalio the owner.
mmnorris Posted September 17, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 17, 2014 (edited) I'm Sarah's friend. Heard this via email two days ago when I asked to make our reservation. I wrote back and said I thought we paid when we were there and the reply was that pre-payment is their new policy. Here is the actual quote, "We have amended our payment policy, and are taking payments up front." Email says it is from Gilberto Perez C.E.O - Reservations Director Sent from my iPhone using Forums Edited September 17, 2014 by mmnorris
shellunderwater Posted September 18, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 18, 2014 Well, I have never booked with them before, but have been reviewing their site, getting ready to book. I would be VERY concerned about paying up front. Actually, I wouldn't pay up front. Something smells here. Danger Will Robinson, Danger!
mmnorris Posted September 18, 2014 #5 Share Posted September 18, 2014 We figured it out so I thought I would warn everyone else. Looks like I accidentally typed info@cavetubing.biz instead of cavetubing.bz and this guy was just going to let me contact the wrong place. Be careful for typos!!!! sarahbeth476 Posted September 19, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted September 19, 2014 I'm glad we got this sorted out. Something did seem fishy. Luckily we found the right website and Vitalino-who does NOT charge up front.
Rare mitsugirly Posted September 21, 2014 #7 Share Posted September 21, 2014 So glad you got this figured out. We have went with .bz several times and never had to pay up front. It even states that on their website. Actually you don't pay until AFTER the excursion is over. They settle up with you after the cave tubing, you have went back to his place and had lunch and THEN you pay there at the register where you eat before getting back into the van to be brought back to the port. :)
mmnorris Posted September 21, 2014 #8 Share Posted September 21, 2014 The worst part of it all was that the .biz guy tried to pass it off like he was .bz. He knew exactly what was going on. He told me "they changed their policy" which was not true!
mchlhaystead Posted September 22, 2014 #9 Share Posted September 22, 2014 Try using cave-tubing.com I have used 2 times. U pay after your tubing. Sent from my SM-T210R using Forums mobile app

byrdbrain55 Posted September 24, 2014 #11 Share Posted September 24, 2014 We just got off the Dream on Sunday and we did cavetubing.bz in Belize. We had a fantastic time. They do a walking tour through the jungle explaining what all the trees and plants are, they showed us leaf cutter ants (watch out they bite), a tarantula and termites. I thought the termites tasted like carrots, not mint. We paid at their office (don't remember if it was before or after). The other cavetubing groups just walked through the jungle with no explanation and it was the same in the caves as well. I was very, very happy with our tour.
