Yorkshire Tea and a kettle

Hi all

 

First time on Celebrity this October, Celebrity Eclipse out of Southampton to the canaries.

 

I am sure I read somewhere that kettles are in cabins on Southampton departures on Eclipse ?? Question is do I bring my own Yorkshire Tea Bags .... I like non fussy "proper" tea, second question is milk available in the cabin as I am a Brit I like milk in my tea and not Lemon.

There will be a kettle in your cabin. I would bring the Yorkshire tea bags, on occasion you can get tetley but most often not and the other brands are rubbish. There isn't milk in the cabins only the tiny plastic pots of stuff but you can get milk cartons through room service or at the buffet. It's either whole milk or skimmed milk though no semi skimmed :)

Fill a glass of whole milk from the dispenser to the half way point. Top off with skim milk. Take to your stateroom and keep in your cooler (its not a true refrigerator but should work for your daily milk needs.

Off the Infinity last week we were lucky to have Twings tea bags instead of the really bad no name bags. Left from Harwich and friends were able to get a kettle.

Anyone know if the kettles will still be in the cabins on the Infinity Transatlantic crossing next month leaving from Harwich? I love my tea on waking up, much better brewed in the cabin than room service. Fingers crossed.

There were no kettles on Infinity for our British Isles cruise in June. Have only read about them being on Eclipse for Southampton sailings. Not in the Caribbean.

On our infinity cruise on May 30th that left from Copenhagen (Iceland& Fjiords) we were offered a kettle by our room attendant, he seemed perplexed when we said no thanks lol :)

no kettles on the Reflection this year. If you had a portable one it was removed from your case and you collected on the way out
