Foreign Transactions Fees?

We recently got back from an Alaskan cruise, checking my credit card statement, I see that every NCL charge has a corresponding foreign transaction fee. I've never seen that before and we've been on several cruises - what the heck!

Never seen that either. Billing has always been NCL-Miami.

 

Curious, you mentioned multiple charges - seems like we only get one.

Not sure what you mean by "every NCL charge", because you should only have one NCL charge...the bill for your total on board charges for the entire cruise that you get a copy of in your cabin on the last morning of the cruise. That is processed through NCL headquarters in Miami, definitely not through a foreign country.

 

Maybe it's a problem with your credit card company.

I just checked my Citi Card online, cruise ended 9/15 and I just have the NCL charge, no foreign transaction fee. Cruise was mostly in Alaska, but since it ended in Canada, you folks had me worried.
