Hi all - I was wondering if anybody has already booked this suite and what kind of experience it was. I have booked this royal suite for a cruise next summer in the Mediterranean. Thanks for any info!

I have been in this suite twice already just to take a tour and some pics. We stayed in 16008 which is exactly the same, just without the Sophia Loren touch. The balcony is a bit quirky, but if you can get past that,,,you will love everything about the suite. We have the Sophia Loren suite booked for January so if there are any particular questions you have,,I'll be able to answer them then. In the meantime: The balcony pics are from our stateroom 16008,,but it gives you an idea of what the balcony on 16007 will be like.

good day all -

we spent 21 nights in this suite this past May & June - truly enjoyed having the separate Bedroom and Living Room, so would not give this up for any other suite onboard the ship....

The closet to the bathroom is a bit tight, and the bathroom is nothing special...but to have the extra room in the suite, was more than worth it...

As mentioned the balcony is a bit odd, and being as the bow of the ship, we hardly used it, as it was too windy on sea days, also, comparing to the side suites YC1, we were unable to keep our balcony door open as the wind was too great.

We have had much nicer suites on other ships, but being this is the best MSC offers, i would book this again in a heart beat - the Yacht Club experience is something we have not experienced on any other ship, even with Silver Seas - in fact we are booked for 2 weeks in the same suite for spring of 2016...

let me know if you have any other specific questions, i will be more than happy to assist ....

Having had a corner YC2 room....yes, there is no balcony but you have floor to ceiling windows.

The bedroom and living room are bigger, you have a seperate dressing area & the bathroom is much bigger than the YC3/Sophia Loren suites. I also believe there is an extra closet.

We have a YC3 saved for next Spring, just to try it but I think I will be heading back to the YC2.

I would love to try the YC2 - when we were on the Divina, the YC2 were quite a walk to get to and to the Yacht Club Venues. - but i really think that being in the Yacht Club section, over weighs (for us), the extra square footage you gain in the YC2 and the nicer bathroom - i probably might have liked the YC2 for the 21 day voyage, but for 7 or 14 nights, the YC3, in my opinion is still the way to go - the biggest factor for us was a separate living room and bedroom, which they both have -

Maybe they may fix this with the new ships coming out....
