MMastell Posted October 2, 2014 #51 Share Posted October 2, 2014 Anytime between 8:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. It all depends on what we did during the day. Was it a long day on shore with a lot of activity or was it a sea day of just laying around. It also depends on if I've had a couple of cocktails. Is there decent entertainment that night, is the casino being nice to me and what is happening the next day. A lot variables and a lot of different "bed times". Take care, Mike
Barb Nahoumi Posted October 2, 2014 #52 Share Posted October 2, 2014 We're usually in bed between 10--11pm, unless there is something we want to attend. We are up early for breakfast and the day's fun of cruising.
cruisin07family Posted October 2, 2014 #53 Share Posted October 2, 2014 The combination of heavy meals and alcohol really make a body tired, lol. That said, we usually make it to midnight at least. There are a couple times per cruise we will close down the Howl at the Moon show at 2am if it's a fun group. I cannot sleep past 8am on a cruise - I just feel like I am missing too much stuff and like to be out and about!!
Susie51 Posted October 2, 2014 #54 Share Posted October 2, 2014 Bedtime varies for me. On port days I'm usually in bed around 10 pm. On sea days I stay up later and go to bed about midnight. 7 am is when I usually wake up.
Hikini Posted October 2, 2014 #55 Share Posted October 2, 2014 We usually head for the room after the show is over unless it's a night there is a show such as the Newlywed game that is later on. But we usually watch TV until around midnight anyway (falling to sleep here and there before the TV actually gets shut off.) So it's pretty much the same as if we were at home. :)
MOM2CHADALI Posted October 3, 2014 #56 Share Posted October 3, 2014 At home, I get up at 4:14 to work so I'm usually in bed by 9:00. This last cruise we were out until at least 1:00 nightly and still up by 7 at the latest. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
Lovemygreekgeek Posted October 3, 2014 #57 Share Posted October 3, 2014 Even though I usually go to bed on the early side when at home....when I'm on the ship I stay up as late as I can manage...even if that means a few extra trips to Blue Lagoon for buffalo wing reinforcements! Sleeping is for the beach/pool/spa!
Peace2U Posted October 7, 2014 #58 Share Posted October 7, 2014 With or without our son, we're usually asleep around 11:30.
HowardK Posted October 7, 2014 #59 Share Posted October 7, 2014 back in the 90's when I was in my 20's it was like 4am and 3am was an early night. On the Jewel perhaps 12:30 4 years ago, Epic was great especially the music so 2am sometimes. Breakaway now usually 12:30-1. I like being up early to be outside
sykimball1498 Posted October 7, 2014 #60 Share Posted October 7, 2014 We usually see the 9pm show and then head to a bar for a nightcap before turning in; however, we usually have 1 night on a 10 day cruise where we say "I'm too tired" and go to bed right after dinner (not good for you, I know). We keep saying we are going to try to stay up later on this coming cruise, but we will see how we do. We go to bed early at home so 11pm is late for us. I don;t know how we will make 1-2am but we are going to try at least one night hopefully.
OCruisers Posted October 7, 2014 #61 Share Posted October 7, 2014 Normally, about Mid-Night. :)
Linda the Book Lover Posted October 7, 2014 #62 Share Posted October 7, 2014 It used to depend on the ship, the shows, and how tired our bodies felt from work stress. However, on our cruise to Alaska with all of the daylight we stayed up and awake to close down bars and still get up in the morning to do more things. Now that we are both retired...watch out we can really enjoy late nights! LOL
mw_1970 Posted October 7, 2014 #63 Share Posted October 7, 2014 Rarely in bed before 1am, particularly now they have the unlimited drinks package ! Like to get my moneys worth !
mw_1970 Posted October 7, 2014 #64 Share Posted October 7, 2014 We get to bed anywhere between 11pm and 2 am. We are in our mid 50s. Some nights we stay up pretty late dancing or watching the other folks dancing in the night club. This is pretty much us although mid - late 40s :)
ScrappinCSI Posted October 7, 2014 #65 Share Posted October 7, 2014 Hey, it all goes to why you cruise.... I find the more I cruise the less I want in terms of activities and the more I want in enrichment of the journey and the conversations with fellow like passengers... Amen to that. Conversation is an endangered species. Hope to bump into you on deck one day and thank you for your service.
dsarge390 Posted October 7, 2014 #66 Share Posted October 7, 2014 The 80's party is fun, and I usually don't turn in until I'm broke at the casino!
myfamilyluvs2cruise Posted October 7, 2014 #67 Share Posted October 7, 2014 Probably 10:30 at least 5 of the 7 nights, unless we are at a late show or really whooping it up on the dance floor! I love to be up early as to not miss a thing. But then a full day of cocktails, sun and more food than I normally eat combined with the gentle (or not) rocking of the boat, and resistance becomes futile! :)
Out to sea! Posted October 7, 2014 #68 Share Posted October 7, 2014 I am an early to bed and early to rise. Every time I cruise I have plans to go to all of the parties and live it up for once. But, I never make it because my circadian rhythm dares me to defy it. This time I'm really really really going to AT least go to the glow party and the 80's party. I just wonder how many people are still out enjoying cruise night life when I'm snoring by 11:30PM. What's your bed time when you cruise? Usually 2200 so I'm up at 0530 to see the sunrise.
