TravelBugM Posted October 2, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 2, 2014 Could anyone with very recent experience advise re the walk between the train station to the port entrance where we will catch the shuttle to our ship? We are travelling in 3 weeks and are wondering how construction is progressing and if there have been any recent changes. Our plan is to walk with our rolling luggage from the train to the port entrance. Thank you in advance
syesmar Posted October 2, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 2, 2014 (edited) This thread has several recent reports: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2057798 Note that there are 2 shuttle stops mentioned: 1)the one that most are referring to in the thread if you're coming from the ship that drops you off to catch a local bus 2) the one in the pictures (that would be difficult for those unfamiliar with the area to find coming from the ship, but not the train). This is the one that is just past the previous stop. To get there, follow the old directions to the previous stop, go through the opening in the fenced area and walk down a few minutes and it's on your right. (Since I didn't use it, I can't speak to it's schedule, but I did see it picking up passengers). Enjoy your cruise! TravelBugM Posted October 3, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted October 3, 2014 Thank you. I think we will be fine, especially as we are boarding vs disembarking or simply docked for the day. We can take our time and enjoy the walk.
