Any Curisers Out There From San Antonio, Texas???

How many of you out there live in San Antonio?
I see many cities (Dallas & Houston included) getting together to talk about cruising and meeting others.
You may even see someone you know!
Probably an annual party would do.
Would you be interested in something like this?

Cruzzer - Live in San Antonio. As you can see below we're going to take advantage of being able to drive to our next cruise. Really looking forward to Galaxy out of Galveston next March.

Until Galaxy

Randy,
Galveston and Houston sure beats airfare costs!
Sister and hubby are going in Nov. out of Galveston to the Panama Canal/Celeb.
Been there done that out of Galvez last year.
Let me know if you'd be interested in getting a group together, ala Cruise Critics.

We're from SA too! We've sailed out of Galveston once, on the Splendour of the Seas-older ship, mediocre food, but LOTS of fun. Our son and his wife sailed her in January into the Panama Canal. They enjoyed it too. They also sailed NCL out of Houston 4 years back for their honeymoon on one of NCL's oldest ships and they had a great time.

We're doing the Constellation in Sept on the transatlantic cruise from Dover to New York. We did the Galaxy to Alaska in 1997 and loved her-hooked us on Celebrity.

Dave & Elaine,
Glad you checked in. This may turn out to be something very special.
We're hoping to get a group together someday.

Four couples we've sailed with may want to join in. If you know of any SA cruisers, see if they'd be interested.

Loved your photos! Dave, I especially like the Texas bowtie on formal night. I'll have to get one for DH. Where did you find it? We could start a revolution!!!LOL

I've come to realize most cruisers are quite interesting, knowledgeable, and FUN!

Have a great weekend,
Lois

Cruzzer,

To answer your question about the bowtie, my son purchases it for me from Ascot. He said that you can special order it from any formal men shop. It’s always a conversation piece and even the crew staffs always have something to say about it.

I came up with a slogan for us.” San Anton’s Are Special” which stand for “S” San, “A” Anton’s “A” Alamo “R” Rowdy “E” Entertaining “S” Sailing “P” People “E” Exceptional “I” In “C” Cruising “A” All “L” Locations. We are special as we live in one of the greatest city.

We all live in the great city of San Antonio, we have the Alamo, we can get Rowdy, we are very Entertaining, where else can you find so many different cultures, we love to Sail, we are great friendly People, we are Exceptional, we know how to have a great time 24/7, we are Into Cruising. All of us love to set Sail, and Locations make no difference.

Take Care and getting together sounds great!

Dave

Don't get together the first 3 weeks in September-we'll be on the Constellation transatlantic--and we don't wnt to miss the cruise or the get-together.

Cruzzer - We live in San Antonio and love to cruise. We are planning on going on the Galaxy November 1st to Panama. We've been on the Century and the Millennium but never on the Galaxy. Would appreciate hearing from someone who has sailed her recently. We experienced quite a lot of vibrations on the Century and we are hoping that has been corrected. We would love to get together with fellow cruisers. Just let us know when and where. We live in the North Central part of San Antonio by Stone Oak.

Pajohnson - We must be very close. We live in Canyon Springs, just north of Stone Oak. We're on the Galaxy next March and also hope these reports of vibrations don't apply or have been fixed. Only a review or two have mentioned the problem.

I am just up the road from you.... in Bulverde!

BTW, this post was sent to my attention in an email from a fellow poster. Where is it actually located on the boards?

Thanks.

davis0056,

How about getting a consensus on the days people can/cannot meet. We can do this later on this summer, after we get some more people signed on.

I guess the day most cruisers select will be the majority. Probably not everyone will be able to attend. We may not even be able to attend, depending on our schedule.
If you have any ideas, please let us know!

Take care,
Lois

FYI For ALL

There is a way to read all posts coming in from our various boards.

Go to the 7 cruise lines (listed below) in CC and go to our Topic. Add each to your NOTIFICATIONS. That way you will be able to read all the posts.

The 7 boards from various cruise lines are:
Carnival, Celebrity, Norwegian, Princess, Oceania, Radisson Seven Seas, & Royal Caribb.

I hope this helps you out.

One of our CC Hosts, Laura, is tryng to get a forum put together where Posts from other boards will be able to merge. It will take sometime for this to come about, but it will be great in the future. Until know, it's like fishing.

Thanks,
Lois

Sorry, I have not been keeping this thread in the forefront.
Any of you can keep it up. It sure would help!
Since many of us have not posted here lately, should we have an earlier party than in Nov?
Let's hear from you, for any reason!
Lois
